Hey,
I'm Danny Kountz.I hale from the thriving metropolis that is Estacada, Oregon. We like to claim that we are the Christmas tree capital of the world. And if we are not, then we are a close second. I grew up on eight acres and spent my summers catching frogs in our pond, and my winters sledding down the back pasture, narrowly missing the electric fence that ran along my neighbors’ property line. Well, almost narrowly missing the fence on certain occasions. It’s funny how you never quite get used to the feeling of careening out of control on your makeshift sled, heading strait for a fence that doesn’t pull any punches. I got my first taste of acting when I was in third grade. My teacher, Mrs. Nelson, encouraged me to play the part of Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol for our high school. Still to this day, I don’t think anyone has said, "God bless us everyone!" with as much commitment to the craft as I. People wept. That was the beginning of my life-long passion for acting. While still living in Estacada, I auditioned for and won the role of Ray Wood in the Lifetime original movie Fifteen and Pregnant. I played Kirsten Dunst’s boyfriend, a rebel from the wrong side of the tracks who, for lack of a better word, knocks her up, then dumps her. A bit of a stretch for the guy voted "Most Dependable" in high school, but it got me into SAG and started the wheels in motion that would lead me to Hollywood. By the way, I lost out on "Class Clown" by one vote. It’s been a wonderful nine years that I’ve been in Los Angeles. I’ve played an exchange student on Just Shoot Me, a killer on Crossing Jordan, and a warlock in the Disney Channel Movie Halloweentown II. Not to mention numerous other parts. I am incredibly excited to be working with Jill and Greg and all the other great people here at ThingstodoLA.com, as well as getting to meet many more amazing people through our adventures together. To contact me personally, please email me at Danny@thingstodoLA.com. I look forward to hearing from you soon. |
